Not through personal experience but you are going to get shafted. There are tons of other, less assuming, ways fraudsters try to take your money from you illegally. These are the modern day equivalent of pickpocketing. And, unfortunately, they still defraud people out of thousands of dollars. Sadly, many of these fraudsters target the most vulnerable people in our society, including the elderly, and people who are lonely, such as widows. Scamming the elderly online and other vulnerable groups is sadly common, as are scams that take place over the phone, through email, and even in person. That said, no one is immune from scams.

It sound wkipio one of those hoaxes you get via email as well, I have heard about too many people losing everything as a result of this kind of thing.
Sell the cot to the next person or give it to charity, its not worth the trouble this man could bring you. However despite what some of the idiots on here are saying, you will not be sent to jail if skipio money making scam were gullible enough to fall for it, though I have noted thankfully that you told them to take a running jump.
Didn’t you read the news today with all the scams from abroad? They ask to put money in your account and all they do is take your details and clone. Don’t do it at all! Never give your account details to anybody, even if they say they are putting money into it!!! The money shows up in your account before the actual money is cleared by the bank.
